Set the Hook is both elated and humbled to be able to announce that Doug Brownridge will be joining the Set The Hook Pro Staff Team. Doug is one of the finest anglers in the Country and exemplifies professionalism both on and off the water. For 2012 Doug will be using Set The Hook, Duckett Rods and Lews Reels accompanied by all the products under Set The Hook distribution.
Doug had this to say: "I'm excited about this opportunity! It was a tough decision to leave great companies like St Croix and X Zone but I feel that Set The Hook, Duckett Rods, and Lews Reels will a better fit to my style of angling and help with my quest for a Canadian Open Championship."

Barry Graves joins the SET THE HOOK TEAM. Graves had this to say.

Bass Pro Shops Simcoe Open 2011-11-03 08:15:59 EDT
The season here in Ontario is coming to a close and the first sign of that is the BASS PRO SHOP OPEN on Lake Simcoe with the heaviest five fish Canadian record of 31.5 lbs on the line. Well Mark and Joe’s record was safe this year as thehusband and wife team Wayne and Gail Misselbrook took the win with 28.5lbs. Set The Hook Pro staffer Scott Murison and partner Paul Hecking came in second with 28.2 lbs. Scott and Paul got their fish on the STH Jr Nailer, Crush Worms and Tubes. Mark and Joe finished in sixth place with 26.4 lbs and their fish came on STH Tubes and the Crush Worm. In the past 12 months Set The Hook baits have contributed to well over 200 K in tournament winnings and these are only the ones we know about. We could not have achieved this without the help of our Pro Staff so to all of them I thank you and thank you for giving out some of our baits so others can see and feel the difference. I want to thank everyone who has used our baits. We will continue to make baits that just out catch others because in the tourney world it’s all about the edge and we want that edge to be Set The Hook baits. We will be posting pics and descriptions of the new baits we have been testing this summer and releasing in the spring of 2012. Thanks again for all the support.
